I was at the local gaming store one day, and two 20 somethings were playing Warmachine or Hordes and they were discussing tactics, these were university students, both of them worked at the gaming store part time. I said something like you haven't been reading your Von Clausewitz. And they were like who? I said he wrote "On War" just blank stares...
ReplyDeleteAnyway maybe being on Audiobook will matter, but it's all about army lists these days, tactics, especially campaign level tactics are being forgotten, only squad level seems to matter, that's what the video games promote for the most part too.
It gets worse, one of them actually minors in German... ;-)
